With 19 years’ experience in the construction industry, Sebastian brings strong contract and health and safety management skills. He has a focus on building effective relationships with clients, and reaching and exceeding project goals.
“We’re here for the long haul, we pride ourselves on honesty, integrity and doing the job properly. We’re hot on systems – it’s one of the things we’ve invested heavily in. Currently, we’re two-thirds through being ISO 9001 certified followed by 14001 (environmental) then OHSAS 18001 for Health & Safety. This will put us right at the top of the industry.”
After gaining an honours degree in Construction Management from Denmark’s Vitus Bering University, Sebastian worked for four years as a hammer hand. He came to New Zealand in 2004 working first in residential and later commercial construction. It was in this second role that he first met Wayne Green.
“We discovered that we both shared a passion that wasn’t common in the industry at that time – for compliance. Not just health and safety, but also for honouring one’s word around contracts and pricing. That set us on the course that led to Green Way.”
Sebastian loves excelling in a field that demands real care and skill. “Demolition, or really ‘deconstruction,’ is difficult to carry out in the correct way. Green Way is appreciated by premier construction companies who share the same values.”

Sebastian looks after the financial and compliance side of the business, but can’t help but get involved in other stuff. “Because the company has a very flat structure, even the directors get involved in operations. The goal is to have a company with a wide range of skills that can solve most issues. To offer a diverse range of services, delivered to the highest standard.”
