Demolition, Strip out

Maori TV were relocating to a new building, so they needed expert demolition and strip out services.

The challenge

A strip out including carpet flooring, ceiling tiles, Gib steel stud partitions and even an internal 200mm thick concrete precast panel.

The project

We selected the DXR 270 demolition robot to help us remove the internal wall. It’s more efficient than cutting and removing, and is also a lot safer to use as it’s controlled by a remote controller.

One of challenges we faced was lifting the DXR on the deck of level 1 as we had no other access. By utilising our extensive industry contacts, we sourced a Hiab to lift the DXR (and its generator).
